Opal Recruitment are looking for an experienced Purchase/Sales Ledger Clerk for a well known client of ours based in the Stockport area.

The main purpose of the role will be to prepare and process accounting information and maintain effective financial and administrative systems and procedures for the business.

Salary £19,000 - £23,000

Main Duties:

  • Full purchase ledger duties
  • Ensure all purchase invoices and credit notes are authorised and processed accurately
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Raising PO's
  • Cash allocation
  • BACS and CHAPS payment runs
  • Point of contact for any invoice queries
  • Daily banking
  • Petty cash
  • Sales ledger duties
  • Credit control

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience working with Purchase/Sales ledger is essential for this position
  • Team player
  • Highly organised
  • Able to work independently and on own initiative
  • Highly organised
  • Great attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Knowledge of Sage is desirable
